The role is accountable for ensuring programmable, human and agent-ready access that supports intent-based workflows, automation, and secure delegation in a regulated, global environment. Success is measured through faster time to value, trusted self-service, and reliable execution at scale.

This is a role for an AI-native, engineering-fluent platform leader with strong product strategy and design instincts, and cross-functional execution in a regulated, global environment. Design is a core requirement with emphasis on systems, agentic workflows, and platform leverage.

Responsibilities

    • External developer portals and onboarding experiences
    • Client profile, configuration, and entitlement management
    • Client testing, sandbox, and certification platforms
  • Translate business and client needs into durable platform capabilities, delivered incrementally and reused across products and regions.

Client Administration & Self-Service Platforms
  • Own the strategy and roadmap for client-facing administration platforms supporting onboarding, service configuration, credential management, and operational visibility.
  • Drive consolidation and simplification of fragmented client workflows and front doors into standardized, scalable platforms.
  • Expand capabilities from information discovery toward guided and automated execution, with appropriate controls and governance.

Developer Experience & External Platforms
  • Lead Visa's external developer ecosystem across portals, MCP servers, APIs, documentation, onboarding, sandboxes, and support.
  • Ensure platforms are API-first, automation-ready, and compatible with modern developer environments, including IDEs and agent-based workflows.
  • Improve discoverability, onboarding success, and time-to-first-value while meeting Visa's security and reliability standards.

Profile, Configuration & Testing Platforms
  • Own the underlying client profile and configuration platforms that enable service setup, parameter management, and behavioral controls.
  • Modernize configuration workflows through improved validation, versioning, and change execution to reduce operational risk and client effort.
  • Lead the evolution of client testing platforms, including self-service testing, automated validation, certification, and end-to-end testing capabilities.
  • Ensure platforms scale across products, geographies, and regulatory contexts while remaining operable and auditable.

Billing & Commercial Enablement Platforms
  • Own shared billing and commercial enablement platforms, including usage metering, pricing constructs, billing execution, and reconciliation capabilities.
  • Enable scalable and consistent commercial models across products while supporting BU-specific pricing strategies.
  • Reduce manual intervention and client confusion through clearer billing workflows and improved data integrity.

AI-Enabled Platform Capabilities
  • Integrate AI into platform workflows including AI-assisted configuration, testing, documentation, and search.
  • Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure responsible AI adoption aligned with Visa's security, policy, and data governance standards.

Architecture, Governance & Cross-Functional Leadership
  • Partner closely with Technology, Cyber, Client Services, Design, Finance, and Architecture teams to define platform roadmaps and target-state architectures.
  • Drive architectural consistency, platform reuse, and delivery models optimized for speed, safety, and scalability.
  • Build and lead a high-performing global organization of product and design leaders operating with clear ownership and metrics-led prioritization.

Success Measures
  • Improved client and developer satisfaction with Visa platforms.
  • Reduced time to onboard, configure, test, and certify Visa services.
  • Increased adoption of self-service and automated workflows.
  • Reduced operational overhead driven by manual intervention, configuration errors, or fragmented tooling.
  • Scalable, secure platforms capable of supporting future use cases, including AI-enabled and agent-driven commerce.
