Vice President, AbilityOne Business Line to lead and expand one of our most impactful business portfolios.
This executive leadership role is responsible for the overall strategy, performance, growth, and profitability of SOAR365's AbilityOne portfolio. Reporting to the Senior Vice President of Business Solutions and serving as a key member of the Executive Team, you will drive operational excellence, expand business opportunities, strengthen strategic partnerships, and ensure the continued success of our AbilityOne contracts.
Key Responsibilities & DutiesAs the Vice President, AbilityOne Business Line, you will provide strategic and operational leadership for SOAR365's AbilityOne portfolio, with full accountability for business performance, growth, profitability, and diversification. You will develop and execute strategies that strengthen existing contracts, secure new business opportunities, and support the organization's long-term goals. This role will lead and develop a high-performing team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement.
You will serve as a key representative of SOAR365, building and maintaining productive relationships with government agencies, customers, regulatory partners, and nonprofit organizations within the AbilityOne community. Additionally, you will ensure compliance with all applicable AbilityOne requirements, contractual obligations, regulations, and agency policies while maintaining operational excellence across the portfolio. As a member of the Executive Team, you will contribute to organizational strategy and decision-making, champion customer-focused solutions, and help advance SOAR365's mission of creating meaningful employment opportunities for individuals with disabilities.
Requirements & QualificationsThe ideal candidate will possess a bachelor's degree in Business, Operations Management, Public Administration, or a related field, along with a minimum of 10 years of progressive leadership experience in operations, service delivery, production, government contracting, or a similar business environment. Candidates should also have at least 10 years of supervisory experience, with a proven track record of building, leading, coaching, and developing high-performing teams.
Successful candidates will demonstrate strong financial and operational acumen, including experience managing budgets, overseeing business performance, and driving organizational results. The ability to identify and pursue growth opportunities, expand customer relationships, and support business development efforts is essential. Exceptional leadership, communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills are required, along with the ability to influence stakeholders, make sound executive-level decisions, and achieve results through collaboration and effective delegation. Experience with the AbilityOne Program, SourceAmerica, government procurement processes, or other federal contracting environments is highly desirable and will help position the candidate for success in this role.
