Vice President 2, NorAm Operations - Schools

United States | Remote | Approximately 50% National Travel | Full-Time | Direct Hire

This role is designed for an experienced executive who has led complex multi-site operations, developed high-performing leadership teams, strengthened client relationships, and driven operational excellence and sustainable growth across large portfolios.

The Opportunity

The selected executive will provide strategic and operational leadership across a nationwide Facilities Management organization.

The position combines business strategy, operational performance, people leadership, client engagement, talent development, succession planning, and long-term organizational growth.

Strong candidates will be comfortable operating at both strategic and execution levels, leading geographically dispersed teams while partnering with senior stakeholders and clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide strategic leadership for complex, multi-site Facilities Management operations across geographically distributed locations.
  • Drive operational excellence, performance improvement, safety, workforce effectiveness, and sustainable long-term growth.
  • Lead and develop senior operational leaders and geographically dispersed teams.
  • Build strong leadership pipelines through talent development, succession planning, coaching, and performance management.
  • Establish clear strategic direction and ensure effective execution across multiple operations and stakeholder groups.
  • Develop trusted relationships with clients and senior stakeholders and serve as a strategic advisor on operational priorities and value-driven solutions.
  • Partner across functions to improve performance, service delivery, organizational effectiveness, and growth.
  • Use operational insights and performance information to identify improvement opportunities and support strategic decision-making.
  • Promote accountability, collaboration, continuous improvement, and high-performance leadership practices.
  • Support client retention, expansion, and long-term relationship development through strong operational execution and stakeholder engagement.

Required Qualifications
  • 10+ years of management experience.
  • 10+ years of relevant professional experience.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
  • Substantial leadership experience within complex, multi-site or multi-state Facilities Management operations.
  • Demonstrated experience leading large, cross-functional and geographically distributed teams.
  • Strong record of operational excellence and long-term organizational growth.
  • Formal people-management experience with responsibility for leadership development, performance, staffing, engagement, and retention.
  • Demonstrated experience with talent development and succession planning.
  • Proven ability to build and sustain high-performing leadership teams.
  • Strong executive stakeholder and client relationship management capabilities.
  • Experience operating as a trusted advisor and developing value-driven solutions for clients and stakeholders.
  • Ability to operate effectively across large, distributed organizations and complex operating environments.
  • Ability and willingness to travel nationally approximately 50% of the time.

Relevant Backgrounds

Experience within K-12 education or education-related Facilities Management is highly relevant, but candidates from other complex multi-site environments may also be considered.

Potentially transferable backgrounds include:
