Position DescriptionThe Veterinary Diagnostic Laboratory at North Dakota State University invites applications for a non-tenure track position in veterinary toxicology. Primary responsibilities are diagnostic service, consultation with laboratory clientele, and supervision as section head of toxicology. Depending on the interest of the toxicologist, opportunities for teaching, interaction with NDSU faculty and other scientists, and collaborative research exist.
Minimum qualifications: - DVM degree
- Post-graduate training or experience in toxicology or large animal practice or nutrition
- Effective interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:- DVM
- Experience in large animal medicine and nutrition
- DABVT, DABT or ACVIM (nutrition) certification, eligibility or partial completion of boards
- Graduate of AVMA-accredited college of veterinary medicine or equivalence certification
- Personnel management experience
- Experience with quality assurance system

The VDL is in a new facility as of Fall 2017.
The NDSU VDL is located within the NDSU Agriculture Experiment Station. NDSU is the state's land-grant institution and ranks high in the National Science Foundation's institution rankings.
