BluePearl Pet Hospital is seeking a skilled Veterinary Technician Supervisor with passion and ability to help train and develop technicians and assistants at our Downtown hospital.Pay: $32.00 - $51.00 / hour + competitive shift differentials
This pay band is dependent on experience and advancement through our competency assessment tool.Shift differentials are based on a 4-hour minimum. For example:
- Mon - Fri: 6pm to 8am = +$4.50/hr. Shift Differential
- Sat & Sun: 8am to 6pm = +$4.50/hr. Shift Differential
- Sat & Sun: 6pm to 8am = +$8.00/hr. Shift Differential
As a Veterinary Technician Supervisor, you will...- Serve as a mentor to lower-level staff by demonstrating positive work habits, effective clinical skills and business knowledge.
- Coach team members to be continuously aware and proactive at anticipating and addressing patient and client needs and to seek assistance with escalated, stressful situations.
- Works with hospital leadership to organize tech and assistant meetings.
- Organize training schedules for Patient Care staff.
- Identify conflicts in the workplace and seek assistance in resolution.
- Provide feedback leadership and works to develop performance improvement plans.
- Other related duties as assigned.
