The Pet Hospitals Poplar at Massey is looking for a full-time Veterinarian, Medical Director to join our team in Memphis, TN. Sign-On Bonus & Relocation Offered!
About You

As a clinical leader in our hospital, you'll drive positive change and medical excellence. In collaborative partnership with the Practice Manager and hospital leadership team, you will guide the hospital's medical standards, support hospital performance, and foster a positive, collaborative culture. Central to this role is your active involvement in recruiting and retaining top veterinary talent, coaching and developing associate DVMs, and upholding high standards of patient care.

You'll mentor and develop associate veterinarians, support hospital operations through effective leadership and data informed decision making, and play a key part in shaping clinical excellence and team engagement while modeling Thrive Pet Healthcare's Core Values.

We're a full service general practice located in the heart of East Memphis, Tennessee, providing comprehensive wellness and preventive care, vaccinations, dentistry, surgery, diagnostics, urgent care, and emergency care during regular business hours. Our experienced team is committed to delivering compassionate, personalized care while helping pet owners make informed decisions throughout every stage of their pets' lives.

Compensation is negotiable based on credentials and experience, with an annual full time base salary range determined by experience. In addition to base salary, Thrive offers an annual Medical Director stipend, quarterly production bonuses with no negative accrual, and a comprehensive benefits package. The actual compensation offered will be determined based on a variety of factors, including skills, qualifications, experience, and geographic location.
Your Experience & Skills
• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM / VMD) or equivalent degree required; must hold a valid state veterinary board license in good standing for the state of hire prior to start date.
• Active DEA license or DEA licensure eligible.
• At least three years of veterinary practice experience.
• Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, coach, and develop team members.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with strong written and oral communication.
• Sound medical reasoning skills and strong medical ethics.
