MEDICAL DIRECTOR - THRIVE DECATUR

About You

As a leader in our hospital, you'll drive positive change and growth. Your influence will shape our vision, foster an exceptional culture, and maintain high standards of care. Partnering with the practice manager and leadership team, you'll develop strategies, implement improvements, and guide our hospital towards excellence in patient and client care, while supporting staff development.

You'll support and mentor veterinarians at your hospital toward achieving medical excellence and enhancing patient care and outcomes through close collaboration with practice managers and hospital leadership. With our comprehensive support, you'll be empowered to perform at your best. Utilize leadership training resources and mentorship programs to develop your skills and advance your career.

You're willing and able to lead by example clinically, mentor veterinarians and support staff, perform high quality medicine and surgery, build strong client relationships, and partner with hospital leadership to drive a thriving, collaborative culture.

We're a general practice hospital located in Decatur, Georgia, focusing on comprehensive primary care, preventative medicine, surgery, dentistry, diagnostics, and select urgent care services. This is an excellent opportunity for a veterinarian who enjoys mentoring others, developing teams, and helping shape the future direction of a hospital. You will partner closely with a supportive leadership team, including a recently appointed Practice Manager and Regional Operations leadership, to continue building a culture centered on exceptional patient care, team development, and operational excellence.

We are open Monday through Friday, serving Decatur and the surrounding Atlanta communities.

Your Experience & Skills
• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM / VMD) or equivalent degree required
• State Veterinary Board License and must be in good standing for the state in which they intend to be hired, prior to their start date
• Active DEA license or DEA licensure eligible
• Strong surgical and clinical skills with a passion for mentorship and team development preferred
• Previous leadership experience is welcomed, but veterinarians aspiring to their first Medical Director opportunity are encouraged to apply
