What You'll Do- Examine and treat companion animals
- Operate diagnostic equipment and interpret results
- Educate clients on preventative care and treatment options
- Perform surgery and dental procedures
- Prescribe medications as needed
- Provide guidance and compassion for end-of-life care
- Maintain accurate medical records
- Ensure compliance with veterinary ethics, policies, and procedures
Requirements- DVM/VMD degree from an AVMA-accredited institution
- Eligibility for Alabama state licensure
- Eligibility to obtain DEA/BNDD
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Professional, courteous demeanor
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds independently; more with assistance
