About ArkVets Central Phoenix

Central Phoenix is our 7th Street hospital - a purpose-built, five-year-old location in one of the best pockets of the Valley. Walkable, high-income, surrounded by great restaurants, close to Arcadia, Biltmore, and North Central.

Our clients here are engaged and willing to invest in their pets' care. When you recommend the workup, the dental, the follow-through - they say yes. It changes the shape of your day and, honestly, your ProSal.

The building is 6,700 square feet with two large surgery suites, a separate contagious-disease area, a dedicated cat room, a special-purpose room, digital radiology, ultrasound, Ligasure, and a Class IV therapy laser. There's a medical director on-site, and 3 techs per DVM (more as you take on more).

What practicing here actually looks like

Around 18 appointments per day, with 1-2 surgery days per week - you help shape the split. General practice mixed with a dedicated urgent care service, so no two days look identical.

You'll have surgery and dentistry coaching available, quarterly doctor training programs, and individual mentorship in whatever you want to grow - ultrasound, endoscopy, advanced surgery, leadership. We invest in the specific direction each doctor wants to go.

Our default is low-stress, fear-free-inspired care - but we run urgent care too, and we won't pretend a scared, actively bleeding patient at 4:45 always gets the slow, cookies-first workup. Honesty about the work is part of the culture.

No mandatory on-call. If a shift needs coverage, we ask - we don't require. Doctors choose whether to say yes.

Who fits here

Three things matter to us as a team, and they're the honest filter for whether you'll thrive here:
We Do the Right Thing. We serve with integrity, exceed expectations, and intend to leave our profession better than we found it.
We Make Magic Happen. We take care of each other. Our energy changes lives - humans and pets both.
We Have Contagious Curiosity. We seek to grow. We value professional development. We take an active role in making the workplace better.

Compensation
Base salary: $180,000, guaranteed floor against production - classic ProSal, no negative accrual
Vacation does not count against production
• Competitive ProSal percentage based on experience
Signing bonus based on experience

Benefits
Two of our highest wellness plans, free, for your own pets, plus 20% off all other treatment and medications
• Medical, dental, vision, and prescription drug coverage for you and eligible dependents
4 weeks combined paid time off (120 hours vacation + 40 hours sick), plus paid holidays (full-time)
2 additional paid CE days per year for ArkVets-required continuing education
• Continuing education allowance
Paid Arizona state veterinary license fees and paid DEA registration
$500 annual professional membership stipend - use it toward VIN, AZVMA, AVMA, or any group you want to join
• 401(k)
• Full liability and license defense coverage
• Quarterly doctor training programs
• Individual mentorship in your chosen growth areas
• Real leadership paths for doctors who want them

To apply

Please answer three short questions with your resume:

1. How long have you been practicing as a DVM?

3. Where would you like to grow - ultrasound, endoscopy, advanced surgery, leadership, something else?

Applications go directly to Kimberly (owner) and Kandi (Director of Operations). You'll hear back from a real person.
