Job DescriptionJob Summary:
Supports implementation across Self-Perform Work (SPW) projects for established Virtual Design and Construction (VDC) workflows using data-rich models to coordinate, quantify, plan and track work. Applies VDC technical knowledge to configure and set up fabrication-level modeling and coordination processes specific to SPW scopes and resolve issues before they impact material ordering, fabrication, layout and installation. Contributes to project efficiency by facilitating clear communication among project teams, field crews and stakeholders involved in SPW operations, providing technical support and process improvement to elevate the expectations for SPW VDC use. Improves overall project outcomes by supporting the timely development and approval of coordinated, fabrication level models connected to the field for SPW. Collaborates with field team members to ensure accurate integration of established model-based processes into daily SPW workflows.
Key Responsibilities:
Supports the implementation of digital modeling strategies tailored to SPW scopes, ensuring consistency, accuracy, and quality across all phases of SPW projects.
Coordinates with multidisciplinary teams, including architects, engineers, contractors and self-perform crews, to support the integration of VDC processes into SPW project activities.
Reviews SPW scope-specific models for accuracy, completeness, and alignment with the overall project specifications and standards, and DPR’s preferred details and constructability methods.
Identifies and communicates potential clashes or constructability issues specific to SPW scopes to both project teams and field crews, ensuring timely resolution and seamless field execution.
Prepares detailed visuals, shop drawings, lift drawings, and field-ready documentation from digital models to directly support SPW crews and enhance project communication, coordination, and decision-making.
Tracks modeling progress, performance and productivity to ensure SPW model population allows for on-time coordination and supports accurate project tracking, installation and quality assurance.
Ensures SPW models are useful for established and emerging cross-functional processes to enhance project delivery.
