We are seeking a Value Stream Manager (VSM) to oversee multiple factories in our Radomes and Composites division of the Consolidated Manufacturing Center located in McKinney, TX. In this role, you will lead a team of cell leads and 15+ shop floor employees across multiple shifts to safely deliver quality parts. This specific role will be responsible for production, assembly, and testing of land-based radar systems as well as overseeing a semi-automated assembly area for development and prototype programs.
What You Will Do- The VSM oversees and coordinates the planning and execution of the operational aspects across multiple work cells within the McKinney Consolidated Manufacturing Center (MCMC). Establishes takt plans in support of program schedules and accountable for value stream performance to Materials Requirements Planning (MRP). Interfaces with Operations Program Managers/Strategic Business Unit/Operations and Supply Chain (OSC) Leads on execution status, capacity, and risks/opportunities.
- The VSM is an onsite role which involves direct support of manufacturing activities and requires spending significant amounts of time in and around factory areas. The primary duties of this position are slated in the first shift time slot but the VSM will manage teams on the off shifts as well. The manager is responsible for establishing and maintaining operational metrics with focus on driving overall value steam performance- safety, people, quality, delivery, cost, and equipment in a manufacturing environment. The VSM will drive and lead continuous improvement through Customer Oriented Results and Excellence (CORE). Additionally, the manager will ensure compliance to company policies and procedures and must exhibit the leadership ability to align cross-functional team to ensure value stream goals are achieved.
- The successful candidate will interface with internal RTX customers to obtain the necessary information to develop and maintain the factory's strategic and tactical plans and must be capable and willing to work extended hours when required. Also, the VSM will lead by embracing the Values and Behaviors defined within RTX of Trust, Respect, Accountability, Integrity, and Commitment and will cultivate a safe work environment across the value stream and cross functional teams.
What You Will LearnThe Radomes and Composites factories build both production and prototype products.
Qualifications You Must Have- Typically requires: A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years experience
- Experience in manufacturing, planning, scheduling, finance, operations, or similar environments.
- Experience in production, manufacturing, operations, or similar environment.
- Experience leading a team in a cross-functional environment.
- U.S. Citizen - the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Qualifications We Prefer- CORE Certification or 6 Sigma experience
- Active Secret Clearance
- EVMS Certification
- Proficient in Shop Floor Management tool CMES
- Strong problem solving and project management skills.
- Strong team and individual developmental skills in support of customer concerns.

The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
