POSITION SUMMARY

The Value Stream Manager is responsible for the development and continuous improvement of the entire value stream from customer order to delivery to post-sale support. This individual will drive alignment within the operations organization – including manufacturing, supply chain, logistics and quality – to ensure lead time, throughput, quality and cost are effectively managed. The Value Stream Manager will also oversee the value stream team, ensuring that daily production goals are met while coaching team members on lean principles and problem-solving skills to further foster a culture of ongoing improvement and growth.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Oversee value stream in achieving sales plan and targeted on-time delivery (OTD). Track and report progress against lead time, throughput, quality and cost; track and identify bottlenecks to achieving KPIs and implement corrective actions. 
  • Promote, monitor, and ensure a safe work environment. Perform safety audits and support incident investigations; identify and implement corrective actions.
  • Partner with supply chain and warehousing teams to implement a material pull process. Develop/improve kanban, outside processing and point of use material processes.
  • Develop current, future and next state value stream maps. Drive transformation of value stream to enhance operational excellence. Lead lean initiatives while applying tools, such as value stream mapping and standard work, to achieve targeted improvements.
  • Oversee daily management to ensure effective collaboration across operations, quality, engineering, finance and customer service. Facilitate communication and alignment between the functions to address both tactical, daily issues as well as drive longer-term strategic initiatives within the value stream.
  • Participate in Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) to promote improved inventory management and customer service, while also reducing waste. Support capacity planning and resource allocation.
  • Coach and mentor team members on continuous improvement; foster a culture of accountability and ongoing development.
  • Oversee routine 5S activities to maintain clean and orderly staging of materials throughout work areas.
  • Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Supply Chain, Operations Management, or a related field with at least three (3) year demonstrated success in supervision or manufacturing technical support OR
  • Five to ten years of experience in operations, manufacturing, supply chain, or process improvement

  • Demonstrated knowledge of Lean processes, tools, and one-piece flow.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office – including Outlook, Word and Excel.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of manufacturing processes
  • Strong experience with Oracle JDE
  • Ability to understand and apply basic cost accounting concepts

Total Rewards

The compensation range for this position is $109,800.00 - $164,600.00, depending on experience. This position may be eligible for performance based bonus plan.
