Job Description:
The Value Stream Manager is responsible for leading a defined manufacturing value stream to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality production aligned with site and business objectives. This role contributes to organizational objectives by driving execution across safety, quality, delivery, and cost performance while ensuring customer commitments are consistently met. The position partners with site leadership and functional teams to translate strategy into disciplined operational execution. This role also plays a critical part in building frontline leadership capability and fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
Primary Duties:
  • Lead assigned manufacturing value streams to achieve performance goals related to safety, quality, delivery, and cost.
  • Oversee operations including production, safety, quality, maintenance, planning, and continuous improvement activities.
  • Align capacity, staffing, materials, and equipment readiness to meet demand and support on-time delivery to customers.
  • Execute structured operating rhythms and standard work to ensure consistent performance and stable lead times.
  • Identify and remove constraints impacting production flow and escalate risks with clear recovery plans.
  • Drive accountability for performance outcomes while balancing operational priorities to meet business and customer needs.
  • Champion a safety-first culture and ensure adherence to safety standards and risk management practices.
  • Lead quality improvement efforts to reduce defects, improve first-pass yield, and meet customer specifications.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to synchronize priorities and ensure effective execution across the value stream.
  • Monitor key performance indicators and use data to drive decisions that improve throughput, delivery, and cost.
  • Build and develop high-performing teams through coaching, feedback, and performance management.
  • Hires, trains, coaches, counsels, and evaluates performance of direct reports.
  • Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on flow, lead time reduction, and operational efficiency.
  • Drive structured problem-solving and corrective action processes to prevent recurrence of issues.
  • Support workforce planning, talent development, and succession planning efforts.
  • Facilitate operating reviews to align priorities, address risks, and ensure execution discipline.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.


Job Requirements

Education and Experience Requirements:
  • Requires a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related discipline;
  • 10+ years of experience in manufacturing leadership, including 5+ years leading production or value stream teams,
  • Or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background. Experience leading large teams in a manufacturing environment preferred.


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing operations and lean principles.
  • Proven leadership ability with experience managing large teams and driving performance.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to translate strategy into operational execution.
  • Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
