Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Take complex, high-level business and technical requirements and turn them into complete workflows, detailed mockups, and documentation across web, iOS, and Android.
- Use AI to build workflows and prototypes faster, generating and iterating on flows, states, and edge cases, then applying your design judgment to refine them into polished, production-ready experiences.
- Build polished, high-fidelity interactive prototypes that demonstrate real flows, states, and edge cases, and present them to senior leadership to drive decisions.
- Map end-to-end user journeys and workflows for payment products (e.g., checkout, wallets, disputes, onboarding, money movement), accounting for success, failure, and exception paths.
- Partner with Product Owners to define feature sets and high-level requirements based on user needs, and to simplify and prioritize where requirements are complicated or competing.
- Conduct user research and competitive analysis, and develop personas and workflows grounded in customer behavior, especially around trust, security, and financial decision-making.
- Design with compliance and risk in mind (e.g., PCI, PSD2/SCA, KYC/AML, disclosures, accessibility), working with Legal, Risk, and Compliance partners.
- Develop and evolve our design language and system, including patterns for AI-driven features, and keep it consistent across products.
- Write or contribute UX copy and craft clear, user-centric messaging.
What We Need From You:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Cognitive Science, Psychology, Communications, Marketing, Graphic Design, Computer Science, or a related field

- Expert understanding of digital design principles and active awareness of trends in web, mobile, and AI-enabled design.
- Portfolio demonstrating complete web and mobile products, including interactive prototypes and workflows, designed from concept through development completion.
- Proficiency in Figma, Adobe Photoshop, and Adobe Illustrator.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Proven ability to distill complex requirements into clear, well-structured workflows and fully realized interactive prototypes.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and comfort instructing and critiquing UI designers.
- Self-motivated, with experience working with developers, designers, and product managers, both independently and in teams.
- Experience with responsive web design as well as iOS and Android design conventions.
- Understanding of iterative development methodologies, including Scrum and Agile.
- Working understanding of designing for AI-powered features, including transparency, trust, and appropriate user control, or a strong point of view on how to do so.
How You Can Stand Out:
- Experience in payments, fintech, banking, or other regulated financial products.
- Hands-on experience using AI tools or code-assisted prototyping to accelerate design work.
- Proficiency in Jira, Principle, and After Effects.
