Full Job Description
JOB DESCRIPTION

Contribute to innovative experience design, blending user needs with business goals in the dynamic environment of financial services.

As an UX Creative Technologist Senior Associate in design & AI Strategy team, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the user experience of our products and services by leveraging your advanced knowledge of experience design principles. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, create innovative, inclusive, and accessible solutions that cater to a diverse range of users. As a core contributor, align user needs with business goals. Your strong understanding of the financial services industry and our IT systems will contribute to the continuous improvement of our offerings, navigating complex problems and driving strategic thinking. Your impact will be significant in the design, architecture, and functionality of our products, ensuring a seamless and enjoyable experience for our customers.

As a UX Creative Technologist you will bring expertise in design systems and AI-augmented engineering to a code-first foundation built to work for both humans and AI — pushing into agent orchestration, automations, and middle-layer connections that help the system self-serve and enable teams across the organization. You will bring a creative portfolio and a codebase that proves it: real coded experiences that users love, deep user-experience understanding, and a clear command of how to work with AI to both generate experiences and ship agents into a workflow. This hybrid role draws on experience gained across the technology industry.

Job Responsibilities

  • Conduct data-driven analyses to inform design decisions and use data to transform raw information into valuable insights to inform decision-making
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to incorporate inclusive design principles and accessibility guidelines to ensure our products and services cater to a diverse range of users.
  • Operate with an iterative design mindset and incorporate user feedback and insights to continuously improve the overall user experience of our offerings
  • Diagram service flows and product features, design wireframes, and prototype interactions for key touchpoints while leading end-to-end initiatives within a specific domain,
  • Build and refine front-end interfaces, translating design concepts into functional, accessible, production-quality code that other teams can build on with confidence
  • Contribute to the creation of an AI-native design system end-to-end — from foundations, tokens, components, patterns, and documentation to a scalable contribution model — as a coded, evolving, living product.
  • Design and ship AI agents and automations that make the system generative, self-serve, and self-improving, from foundation scaffolding to on-demand pattern generation.
  • Establish middle-layer connections, APIs, integration points, and tooling that link the design system to the products, pipelines, and workflows that consume it.
  • Build coded prototypes and explorations that validate ideas before the team commits to shipping them.

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

  • 3+ years in a user experience design or equivalent role dedicated to improving experiences with digital products and services.
  • Familiarity with Git-based workflows, including contributing to and pushing changes through shared repositories.
  • Expert using Figma and FigJam, with fluency across VS Code, modern front-end frameworks, and AI coding tools.
  • Demonstrated experience in designing and optimizing user experiences across multiple platforms, including web, mobile, and other digital channels
  • Support ideation and discovery across AI initiatives through rapid prototyping, visual and interaction design, information architecture, and lightweight coding proofs of concept using tools such as VS Code, GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, and similar AI-assisted workflows.
  • Own and evolve UI design and information architecture for custom-built tools— including wireframes, UI mockups, site structure, navigation, and content hierarchy. This includes front-end design and development on Confluence-hosted SPAs (HTML / CSS / JS), support deployments (file management, site registry, UI polish), and use VS Code with GitHub Copilot to prototype, iterate, and help build new workforce tools.
  • Production-level front-end engineering skills across modern frameworks, token-based systems, accessibility standards, and performance optimization.
  • Proven experience building and scaling design systems as coded infrastructure, with real adoption across multiple teams.
  • Hands-on experience building AI agents, automations, or AI-augmented tooling and shipping them into real workflows.
  • Experience gained within the technology industry, either in a dedicated technology role or a hybrid design and engineering position.

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

  • Experience at JPMC or a comparable financial services firm, enterprise technology, or regulated environment designing or delivering AI-powered internal tools, resource sites, knowledge systems, or adoption content — with an understanding of controls, compliance culture, and internal tooling landscape.
  • Experience leading or facilitating training sessions, workshops, or office hours, and driving change management or organizational transformation initiatives with measurable adoption outcomes.
  • Familiarity with enterprise-grade design systems, React / Vite applications, accessibility standards (WCAG), and comfort working with technical partners (APIs, data models, AI/ML systems) to translate between technical and non-technical audiences.
