Job Description
The Unix Admin will be responsible to:
• Provide Tier 2 support, based on industry standards, to clients for all system problems and anomalies. Support trouble tickets submitted via the electronic problem reports system.
• Prepare systems (mission servers, UNIX workstations) for security accreditation.
• Install, configure, and maintain Red Hat Linux and Solaris operating systems, to include Operating System (OS), application software patches and service packs.
• Perform user account, group, and directory maintenance on all system as needed.
• Manage user and group policies and rights; conduct auditing for same.
• Review security, network, and system auditing and remedy identified anomalies.
• Analyze and resolve problems associated with UNIX workstation and server hardware, operating systems, applications software, and adhere to mandated requirements and guidelines.
• Prepare, test, and implement scripts to simplify system tasks for domain core services.
• Perform backup and recovery procedures utilizing and managing media backup of RAID storage devices.
• Maintain Test and Integration Facility workstations, and Test Bed workstations.
• Support Wing ISSO and local Network Security Managers to identify and resolve security related server, workstation and application issues.
• Support military and Government personnel on systems.
Qualifications
Five (5) plus years with hands-on and proven experience utilizing the following systems/tools:
UNIX, Oracle/Solaris OS, NIS+, WebLogic, Oracle is a plus.
Active Secret clearance required for this position
