Full Job Description
The U.S. Government Account Manager is responsible for managing customer relationships and contracts with U.S. Government agencies, including the Department of Defense (DoD), Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Department of State (DOS), Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), and other federal customers. This position serves as the primary customer liaison for aviation maintenance, repair, overhaul (MRO), modification, logistics, and aircraft support programs.

The Account Manager ensures customer requirements are met while maintaining compliance with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS), FAA regulations, contract requirements, and company policies. This role works closely with Business Development, Program Management, Operations, Maintenance, Quality Assurance, Supply Chain, and Finance to deliver exceptional customer service and successful program execution.

Key Responsibilities

Requirements
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned U.S. Government customers and contracting agencies.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with Contracting Officers (COs), Contracting Officer's Representatives (CORs), Program Managers, military personnel, and government stakeholders.
  • Manage aviation maintenance, repair, overhaul (MRO), modification, logistics, and sustainment programs from contract award through completion.
  • Coordinate with Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, Quality Assurance, Supply Chain, and Finance to ensure contract performance objectives are achieved.
  • Monitor contract schedules, deliverables, budgets, and performance metrics.
  • Review Statements of Work (SOW), Performance Work Statements (PWS), contract modifications, and task orders to ensure compliance with customer requirements.
  • Prepare proposals, quotations, contract modifications, pricing packages, and customer presentations.
  • Conduct regular customer meetings, program reviews, and status briefings.
  • Resolve customer concerns and contract issues while maintaining strong customer relationships.
  • Identify opportunities for contract growth, follow-on work, and new business development within assigned government accounts.
  • Maintain accurate customer records, contract documentation, and account activity within the company's CRM and ERP systems.
  • Ensure contract performance complies with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS), and all applicable contract clauses.
  • Support proposal development, contract negotiations, and pricing activities.
  • Coordinate contract deliverables, invoices, funding modifications, and period-of-performance requirements.
  • Assist with audits conducted by agencies such as the Defense Contract Audit Agency (DCAA), Defense Contract Management Agency (DCMA), Inspector General (IG), and other government organizations.
