Description
The Trust Funding Coordinator is the professional in the firm ensuring that all assets in a client's estate plan are properly transferred into the trust, making the trust "fully funded" and legally effective. This role bridges the gap between the client, the law firm, and financial institutions, ensuring that every required step in the funding process is completed accurately and on time.
A fully funded trust ensures that the client's estate plan works as intended - avoiding disputes, ensuring smooth asset transfer, and meeting legal requirements. Without a Trust Funding Coordinator, funding tasks could be overlooked, delaying or undermining the effectiveness of the estate plan.
The Trust Funding Coordinator is the operational engine that turns a signed estate plan into a fully functional, asset-backed trust, coordinating all the necessary paperwork, communications, and institutional processes to achieve that goal.
