Description

The Traveling Project Manager is responsible for leading complex construction projects from pre-construction through closeout. This role ensures successful delivery of projects on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and safety. The PM manages all aspects of the project lifecycle and serves as the primary liaison between clients, contractors, consultants, and internal teams. Travel as needed is required.

Requirements

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES (LIST IS NOT INCLUSIVE)
  • Required to maintain an active onsite presence and attend all required project meetings, including, but not limited to, GC meetings, subcontractor coordination meetings, safety meetings, and other project-related meetings requiring Project Manager participation.
  • Oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of construction projects ranges.
  • Lead project scheduling, budgeting, procurement, and contract administration.
  • Manage and supervise project teams including Project Engineers, Assistant PMs, and Superintendents.
  • Ensure adherence to project specifications, building codes, safety regulations, and quality standards.
  • Facilitate communication and coordination with clients, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers.
  • Monitor project performance, proactively identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Review and approve subcontractor bids, change orders, RFIs, and project documentation.
  • Conduct regular site visits, safety inspections, and project meetings.
  • Provide detailed project reporting and forecasting to senior leadership.
  • Support business development by maintaining client relationships and assisting in proposal development when needed


REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
  • 3-5+ years of construction project management experience, including managing projects independently.
  • Demonstrated success delivering mid- to large-scale construction projects on schedule and within budget.
  • Strong knowledge of construction contracts, documents, processes, and technology (e.g., Procore, Bluebeam, MS Project, Primavera).
  • Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Self-starter, highly motivated, problem-solving skills, conflict resolution.


EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
  • High school diploma required. Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Preferred OSHA 30 Certification.
  • Must have at least Ten plus years of experience.
  • Construction experience preferred.


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Required to stand, walk, and sit.
  • Talk or hear, both in person and by telephone
  • Use hand (s) and fingers to handle or feel objects or controls.
  • Reach with hands and arms.
  • Regularly required to stoop, kneel, bend, crouch and lift up to 50 pounds.
