Full Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Travel Neuro ICU RN to join a high-acuity Neuroscience Intensive Care Unit in the state of Tennessee.

This role supports patients requiring complex neurological care, including strokes, traumatic brain injuries, craniotomies, seizures, spinal injuries, and neurosurgical post-ops.

Responsibilities
  • Provide advanced critical care nursing to Neuro ICU patients
  • Perform frequent neuro assessments, neuro checks, GCS scoring, and neurological monitoring
  • Manage ventilators, sedation drips, vasopressors, and hypertonic saline
  • Monitor and manage ICP, EVD/VP shunts, and respond to neuro status changes
  • Care for post-op neurosurgery patients (craniotomy, tumor removal, spine surgery)
  • Respond to rapid response and code blue events
  • Collaborate closely with neurologists, neurosurgeons, and multidisciplinary teams
  • Document assessments, care plans, and interventions accurately


  • Requirements
  • Active RN License (Tennessee or Compact License)
  • 2+ years recent Neuro ICU or Neuro Critical Care experience (required)
  • BLS + ACLS required
  • NIHSS preferred
  • Strong experience with:
    • ICP Monitoring
    • GCS & neuro assessments
    • Ventilator management
    • High-acuity critical care neuro patients
  • Travel experience appreciated but not required
