We are seeking a highly skilled
Travel ICU Registered Nurse to join the Intensive Care Unit at a
Medical Center in the Hampton Roads region of Virginia. This fast-paced ICU handles
high-acuity medical, surgical, and cardiac patients, and requires a nurse experienced in managing complex, critical-care situations.
If you are a strong ICU RN with experience in ventilator management, vasoactive drips, and rapid clinical decision-making, this assignment is an excellent fit.
Key Responsibilities- Provide bedside care to critically ill patients
- Manage ventilators, airway equipment, and complex drips
- Perform frequent assessments, hemodynamic monitoring, and documentation
- Respond to rapid response and code situations
- Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapy, and multidisciplinary teams
- Administer medications and manage central lines, A-lines, and chest tubes
- Follow ICU best practices, sepsis protocols, and unit policies
Requirements- Active RN License (Virginia or Compact License)
- 2+ years recent ICU experience (required)
- BLS & ACLS required
- NIHSS preferred
- Experience with:
- Ventilator management
- Drip titration (pressors, sedation, insulin, etc.)
- Cardiac monitoring
- High-acuity ICU patient care
- Travel experience preferred but not required
