We are seeking an experienced
Travel Cath Lab Tech to join the Interventional Cardiology team at
a Medical Center in Boone, NC. This position involves assisting with
diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures, supporting a high-performing cardiovascular services department.
This is an excellent assignment for a technologist skilled in
scrub, circulate, or monitor duties, and comfortable working in a fast-paced cath lab with strong physician and RN collaboration.
Key Responsibilities- Assist cardiologists during diagnostic and interventional procedures (PCI, angiography, STEMI, vascular interventions)
- Perform or support scrubbing, circulating, and monitoring roles
- Operate imaging and hemodynamic monitoring equipment
- Prep and position patients, manage supplies, and ensure sterile technique
- Assist with vascular access, contrast injection setup, and radiation safety
- Participate in STEMI call (if required by facility)
- Collaborate with RNs, physicians, and procedural staff
Requirements- RCIS certification preferred (or ARRT with Cath Lab experience)
- BLS required; ACLS preferred
- 1-2+ years recent Cath Lab experience
- Strong experience with interventional cardiology procedures
- Experience with hemodynamic monitoring systems
- Previous travel experience helpful but not required
