Job Description

Dewberry is currently seeking a Transportation/Roadway Engineer in our growing Rancho Cordova or Fresno, CA offices.  The successful candidate will work on all phases of Transportation Projects for a variety of public and private sector clients. 

 

Transportation projects will include horizontal and vertical rail and road alignments, drainage systems, storm water management, utility relocations and preparation of contract documents. 

 

Responsibilities

The successful candidate must be flexible, technologically savvy with strong design skills and client focused. The work required by the successful candidate is diverse and requires strong capabilities in AutoCAD/Civil 3D and Microsoft Office Suite. Familiarity  with Microstation and Open Roads.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
  • California Professional Engineer (PE) License preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in transportation engineering design.
  • Strong knowledge in roadway and highway design, grading, drainage, and utility relocation.
  • Coordinate with various disciplines to complete tasks and projects.
  • Proficient with AutoCAD/Civil 3D and familiar with Microstation/Open Roads.
  • Ability to work efficiently to meet project schedules within budgets.
  • Ability to communicate effectively project manager, coworkers, sub consultants, and agency review staff, and utilities.
  • Ability to compose technical reports, memorandums, and other written communication.
  • Ability to handle multiple concurrent projects.

Salary Range

The projected range for this position is $90,000-$110,000 annually. Depending upon other factors, i.e., skills, experience, location, market conditions, the range may vary slightly
