Job OverviewWe are seeking a new
Transportation Resident Engineer to join our team at Ardmore Roderick. As a
Transportation Resident Engineer, you join a team of infrastructure solutions experts working to solve our client's ever evolving project needs. This opportunity will be located within the
Chicagoland area and will be based out your assigned field office location.
Key Responsibilities- Overseeing daily roadway rehab construction activities and ensuring compliance with the project's specifications, timeline and budget
- Serving as the project's point of contact and coordinating with the owner, contractors, and other stakeholders to progress the project and address issues
- Addressing and resolving issues that may arise during the construction process
- Managing a team of field inspectors to assign daily tasks and oversee the documentation processes
Required Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or construction management
- Professional Engineer in Illinois
- 5-10 years of overall transportation/construction management work
- Minimum of 2 years of experience leading teams and roadway construction management projects as a licensed Resident Engineer
- Willingness to work in the different weather elements and conditions
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Have a team player mindset with the ability to communicate proficiently in written and verbal forms
- Have good to great organizational skills
Preferred Qualifications- Advanced degree(s)
- CM certification
- PMP certification
- Experience managing projects for the Chicago Department of Transportation

Salary Range: $110,032 - $139,984, Ardmore Roderick is providing the compensation range that the company believes it might pay and/or offer for this position, based on the successful applicant's education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities in addition to internal equity and specific geographic location.
