TRANSPORTATION PROJECT MANAGER 3 - Denver, CO

SUMMARY:

Responsible for the overall opportunity identification, positioning, pursuit, and management of transportation infrastructure projects for municipal and regional public agencies. Accountable for project performance, ensuring compliance with local standards and ordinances, delivering high-quality design solutions, and maintaining strong client relationships. Provides leadership and technical guidance to project teams, including engineers and technicians, with a focus on roadway, intersection, and multimodal improvements.

ACCOUNTABILITIES:
  • Participate in the execution of Dibble strategic initiatives
  • Actively pursue marketing and business development opportunities and cultivate relationships with existing and potential clients
  • Represent Dibble at industry events and conferences
  • Assemble project teams (strategic partners, subconsultants, internal staff) for pursuits
  • Lead pursuit proposals and interview teams to win new projects
  • Prepare and negotiate scopes of work, schedules, and fee proposals
  • Set up accounting and budget tracking for new projects
  • Prepare and manage project schedules and budgets
  • Coordinate all aspects of projects, including public involvement, utility and stakeholder coordination, and permitting
  • Provide technical direction on design standards, ADA compliance, and multimodal integration
  • Perform QA/QC for deliverables such as plans, technical reports, specifications, and cost estimates
  • Prepare project invoices and follow up with clients to ensure timely receipt of payment
  • Evaluate company practices and processes to provide input for continuous improvement
  • Actively participate in the career development of staff

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Familiarity with municipal codes, standards, and local agency design guidelines
  • Understanding of project budgeting
  • The ability to consistently meet project deadlines while always maintaining quality
  • Technical knowledge of transportation engineering principles, including roadway geometric design, traffic operations, and drainage for urban, suburban, and rural environments
  • Proven ability to manage projects involving public engagement and coordination with city councils, community groups, and other impacted stakeholders
  • Ability to effectively communicate project and billing status and needs with the client
  • Proven negotiating skills and the ability to successfully negotiate acceptable contracts

Education and Experience:
  • B.S. degree in Civil Engineering, and 10+ years of experience in civil engineering with specialization or significant experience in transportation engineering
  • Minimum 8 years of transportation Project Management experience

Other Requirements:
  • Must have a valid Colorado driver's license or be able to obtain a valid Colorado driver's license within 3 months of start date
  • Registered Professional Engineer (P.E.) in Colorado or the ability to obtain registration within six months


LOCATION: This opportunity is in our Denver, CO office location.

COMPENSATION: $140,000 to $170,000 per year base pay (plus bonuses) depending on level of skills and experience.
