Description

As we begin building our presence in Boise, our Transmission & Distribution (T&D) Global Practice is looking for a Project Manager to lead transmission projects and help grow our regional footprint. An entrepreneurial mindset, strong leadership skills, and a passion for client development are key to success in this role.

The Project Manager will manage, direct, and coordinate all aspects of overhead transmission projects-from concept through completion. You'll be responsible for project performance, client satisfaction, and developing long-term relationships that lead to repeat work and expanded service offerings.

Core Responsibilities:
  • Lead full project lifecycle management, including siting, environmental, permitting, planning, estimating, engineering, right-of-way, project controls, procurement, constructability, construction management, and closeout.
  • Build and strengthen client relationships, focusing on repeat business and strategic growth.
  • Prepare proposals, support presentations, and participate in contract negotiations.
  • Develop and manage project schedules, scope, and budgets.
  • Own internal project financials, including forecasting, accruals, staffing, risk management, and change management.
  • Serve as the primary client contact for coordination, planning, scope management, budgeting, subcontracting, environmental compliance, and schedule performance.
  • Lead project communication and ensure alignment across all stakeholders.
  • Establish project controls, execution plans, and internal processes to support successful delivery.
  • Ensure deliverables meet client expectations and internal QA/QC standards.
  • Report regularly on progress, cost, schedule, procurement, safety, design issues, and risks.
  • Support the growth of the Transmission team through hiring, training, and mentoring.
  • Coordinate multidisciplinary teams across multiple small to mid-sized projects.
  • Participate in strategic planning and sales development efforts.
  • Travel to client offices and project sites as needed.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management or related degree from an accredited program and 7 years applicable experience is required.
  • Prior experience on construction project sites or executing program management in the industries of aviation, commercial, energy, government, manufacturing, oil & gas, process, transmission & distribution, or water is preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, demanding work environment, ability to work overtime on short notice.
  • Excellent computer skills and proficiency using Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with others (owners, contractors, engineers, designers) in a multi-disciplined project team environment to resolve design or drawing issues as appropriate and to accomplish objectives.
  • Strong experience with document control, scheduling, cost control and project management software.
