Qualifications

• Bachelor's in Civil Engineering or related from an ABET accredited program.
• Bachelor's in Civil Engineering Technology from an ABET accredited program with FE exam completion.
• Master's degree may substitute for one year of experience.
• Minimum 3 years in transmission engineering, 5 years preferred; consulting experience favored.
• Completion of FE or EIT preferred.
• Strong civil/structural engineering expertise.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Analytical thinking and quantitative problem-solving abilities.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and PLS-CADD.
• Strong attention to detail and teamwork capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Design transmission projects from concept to completion.
• Modify and review design components per project needs.
• Prepare specifications, RFQs, and technical bid summaries.
• Conduct economic and grounding calculations/studies.
• Compile electrical clearance calculations based on relevant codes.
• Research and compile project-related data for managers.
• Update CAD drawings following senior engineers' instructions.
• Perform field inspections and measurements for clients.
• Handle other assigned duties as necessary.
