Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in drafting technology or related field with 7 years of experience, or an Associate Degree with 8 years of experience, or 9 years of progressive detailing and design experience required.
• Advanced proficiency in design software such as PLS-CADD, AutoCAD, MicroStation, and Excel.
• Experience using both 2D and 3D applications for preparing engineering drawings.
• Deep understanding of design principles, calculations, and systems related to transmission lines.
• Strong collaborative skills to work in multi-disciplinary project teams, resolving design issues efficiently.
• Exceptional communication, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and attention to detail are critical.

Responsibilities

• Assist in designing transmission lines from concept through completion.
• Modify and review production drawings for high voltage transmission projects.
• Create plan and profile drawings, structure load diagrams, and foundation drawings according to project needs.
• Conduct research and compile project data as requested by project managers.
• Update and verify corrections on drawings using multiple CAD software tools.
• Participate in client presentations, shop drawing review, and contract administration processes.
• Perform field inspections, measurements, and calculations for public and private clients.
