Infosys is looking to hire a Senior Global Sourcing Manager(Transition Manager / Transition & Transformation Leader) who will be responsible for managing all aspects of the transition, mobilization, and start-up of large managed services engagements and transformation-led outsourcing programs, with a primary focus on outsourcing using a global delivery model. The role will work at the intersection of solutioning, due diligence, transition execution, governance, and steady-state readiness, while leveraging Infosys' global delivery capabilities across applications, infrastructure, cloud, automation, AI, BPO, testing, and engineering services.
Key Responsibilities: - Be the single point of accountability for transition activities
- Plan, lead and manage the transition portion of outsourcing engagements while ensuring engagement profitability, customer satisfaction and effective staff utilization
- Architect transition solutions including the development of cost estimates, staffing requirements, work plans and RFP responses
- Conduct workshops to help prospects define requirements and build a business case for outsourcing
- Provide leadership to cross-functional and cross-cultural engagement team members
- Perform all aspects of transition program management including plan development, resource planning and allocation, tracking and improvement planning.
- Lead the creation and execution of due diligence plans for new engagements
- Validate solution assumptions, dependencies, risks, and scope during due diligence and transition planning to ensure alignment between what has been sold and what can be delivered.
- Partner with sales, solutioning, delivery, consulting, and client stakeholders to ensure transition plans are executable, scalable, commercially sound, and aligned to committed business outcomes.
- Develop and use frameworks, tools and templates to support transition activities and improve engagement predictability
- Leverage transition accelerators, automation-led approaches, AI-enabled tools, knowledge management practices, and governance frameworks to improve transition speed, quality, predictability, and service readiness.
- Proactively identify delivery, commercial, operational, and stakeholder risks during transition and drive mitigation plans, executive alignment, and change-control discussions where required.
- Ensure the engagement team meets service level commitments upon completion of transition
- Provide effective turnover to the engagement manager prior to the end of transition
- Ensure smooth transition-to-run handoff, including operational governance, service readiness, stakeholder alignment, documentation, knowledge transfer, and stabilization plans.
Requirements: - 10-15 years of sales, solution development and delivery experience with large Systems Integrator/Big 3 Consulting Company (someone who was responsible for delivering what they designed and sold)
- Experience leading large-deal transitions, outsourcing mobilization, transformation programs, or managed services start-up across complex global delivery environments
- Experience using a global delivery model to support customer requirements in application development and maintenance, infrastructure services, BPO services, testing services, and/or engineering services
- Experience with cloud, digital transformation, automation, AI-enabled operations, application modernization, infrastructure modernization, and/or business process transformation would be strongly preferred
- Experience in pursuing and managing deal consultant led engagements (ISG, Everest, KPMG, etc.)
- Ability to develop/maintain positive client relationships and monitor client satisfaction
- Demonstrated success in a matrix management environment
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to understand solution assumptions, pricing considerations, scope commitments, risks, and delivery implications
- Ability to influence senior client stakeholders, internal leadership, delivery teams, solutioning teams, and cross-functional teams without direct authority
- Bachelors or Masters in Computer Science, Business Administration or equivalent
- Be able to travel 60%-80% of the time (Monday thru Friday)
Competencies: - Proven abilities in the areas of transition management with regards to complex programs, developing effective customer relationships and developing/delivering presentations that get results
- Expert ability to successfully manage large, complex transitions across all phases from inception to implementation in a cross-functional environment
- Ability to manage both engagements and projects
- Deep understanding of IT outsourcing sourcing/delivery models, with a primary focus on applications development and maintenance
- Strong understanding of managed services, transition-to-run, knowledge transfer, governance models, service readiness, stabilization, and continuous improvement
- Transformation mindset with practical understanding of AI, automation, cloud, data, modernization, and digital operations in large enterprise environments
- Ability to challenge solution assumptions constructively, identify execution gaps, and drive alignment between proposed solution, client expectations, contractual commitments, and delivery feasibility
- Ability to present and explain technical information in a way that establishes rapport, persuades others, and gains understanding
- Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills at all management levels
- Executive presence, negotiation skills, conflict-resolution capability, and ability to operate effectively in ambiguous, high-pressure, globally distributed environments
- Ability to act as a strategic transition leader, not just a PMO coordinator, by bringing together domain understanding, technology awareness, commercial judgment, and stakeholder leadership
