Job Summary

The Revenue Cycle Reports Training Specialist is responsible for developing, implementing, and sustaining a comprehensive training program that enables Revenue Cycle leaders and staff to effectively leverage Epic's SlicerDicer self-service analytics tools. This role designs classroom instruction, eLearning modules, reference materials, and standardized query libraries that empower users to independently analyze operational, financial, and revenue cycle data.

Working closely with Revenue Cycle Operations, Revenue Integrity, Analytics, and Epic application teams, this individual serves as the subject matter expert on Revenue Cycle data models and reporting workflows, helping leaders transform data into actionable insights while reducing reliance on centralized reporting resources.

Responsibilities*

Training & Curriculum Development
  • Design and maintain a comprehensive Revenue Cycle SlicerDicer curriculum for analysts, supervisors, managers, and directors.
  • Develop instructor-led classroom training, virtual learning sessions, eLearning modules, job aids, quick reference guides, and video tutorials.
  • Create role-based learning paths.
  • Continuously improve curriculum based on feedback.

Self-Service Analytics Enablement
  • Partnering with Revenue Cycle Analytics to develop a standardized library of Revenue Cycle starter queries.
  • Partner with Revenue Cycle to create reusable templates.
  • Train users to customize queries.
  • Promote best practices for self-service analytics and data governance.

Dashboard Integration & Root Cause Analysis
  • Train users to leverage drill-through links from Pulse dashboards, or set up their own queries
  • Teach drill down ability for root cause analysis for denials, write-offs, charge capture, authorizations, payment delays, and other KPIs.

Revenue Cycle Data Expertise
  • Develop expertise in Epic Revenue Cycle data models and relationships.
  • Maintain knowledge of registration, financial clearance, charge capture, coding, claims, billing, payment posting, denials, A/R, revenue integrity, and avoidable write-offs.
  • Partner with leaders to identify additional training opportunities.

Collaboration & Continuous Improvement
  • Collaborate Analytics, Technology, and operational leaders.
  • Stay current on Epic enhancements.
  • Measure adoption and training effectiveness.
  • Other duties as assigned by Manager.

Required Qualifications*
  • Bachelors degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 5-8 years of professional experience in training related roles.
  • Experience in healthcare Revenue Cycle operations.
  • Curriculum development, Instructional Design, training, and adult learning experience.
  • Strong presentation, facilitation, communication, and analytical skills.
  • Education and Knowledge of healthcare analytics and reporting.
  • Knowledge of Epic SlicerDicer and other Epic Reporting Tools.

Desired Qualifications*
  • A bachelors degree in a relevant field such as Training, Information Technology or Human Performance Improvement.
  • Minimum 8 years of professional experience in a training related role.
  • Solid understanding and the ability to apply instructional design theories, methodologies, and best practices, including interactive online teaching methods.
  • Significant relevant experience in design and development of training (preferably adult learners focused on IT or software training)
  • A strong team player with the ability to engage with all levels of the organization.
  • Adaptable to technology and technology changes.
  • Experience in leading training projects.
  • Highly organized and able to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including comfort with delivering presentations and training.
  • Experience with learning tools such as Articulate and Captivate and Learning Management Systems.
  • Experience with human/learner centered design methodologies.
  • Experience in a healthcare related field.
  • Prior Epic experience.
  • Experience with Power BI, Tableau, Clarity, or Caboodle.
  • eLearning development experience.
  • healthcare analytics and reporting experience.
  • Hands-on experience with Epic SlicerDicer.
