Electrical LeadThis individual will be responsible for the direct supervision and coordination of project specific requirements of the electrical self-performance division of Katerra in the above areas. They will act as a technical trade expert for the project and the electrical craft team performing the installation. This person must be able to multi-task and maintain a positive outlook in stressful situations. As this will be a grass-root effort to put the division online in the region. The right candidate needs to be personable, open-minded, and energetic. The candidate must also take initiative and be comfortable making decisions that may have wide-ranging effects.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities- Coordinate and supervise all electrical craft team project activities in the region.
- Maintain responsibility for the electrical budget and schedule progression on all projects in the region through coordination with site PM team
- Coordinate all project RFI's and change order documentation for submission to the project PE.
- Plan, execute, and monitor all manpower needs based on project manpower, loading, and license ratio needs.
- Be responsible for requesting and maintaining craft tools and equipment for the region based on project load.
- Report directly to the Regional Manager.
- Attend all project meetings and submit all reports required.
- Ensure professionalism and quality of deliverables on all projects in the region to various stakeholder standards (i.e. Owner, PM, AHJ, etc.).
- Be willing and able to mobilize for project starts (when and where needed).
- Other duties as assigned by Regional Manager.
Required Skills & Experience - Local State Journey-Level Electrical License.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience with Construction Software.
- 5+ years of supervisory experience with electrical construction projects.
- Working knowledge of the NEC edition in effect at any given time in the region as well as all state and local codes in the region.
- Ability to meet with local officials as needed to discuss code compliance and any other issues deemed necessary by the Authority Having Jurisdiction.
- Demonstrated commitment to diversity, learning and successfully working in multicultural environments.
Preferred Skills & Experience- Multifamily and small commercial project experience.
- Computer literacy with Microsoft Office Suite products.
- Cross-functional capabilities in any of the specialty trades MEPF.
- Project management training and/or aptitude.
- Estimation, take off, and scheduling experience.
