OverviewAs a Trade Compliance Manager, you will support Brightstar Lottery's global import and export compliance program while serving as the subject matter expert for customs and international trade matters. You will analyze transactions, classifications, broker filings, documentation, and operational workflows to mitigate risk, improve processes, and enable the efficient cross-border movement of products, parts, and equipment. This role will be located hybrid in West Greenwich, Rhode Island.
Responsibilities- Lead global import and export compliance activities across the United States, Canada, Mexico, Latin America, Europe, and Asia-Pacific.
- Ensure cross-border movements comply with applicable customs regulations, import restrictions, valuation requirements, country-of-origin rules, and product admissibility standards.
- Maintain trade compliance policies, standard operating procedures, internal controls, and documentation requirements across global locations.
- Own Harmonized Tariff Schedule classifications and conduct tariff reviews, duty-impact analyses, and classification validations.
- Oversee customs brokers and international trade partners by establishing service-level expectations, monitoring performance, auditing filings, and resolving escalations.
- Advise business partners on duty considerations, free trade agreements, special classifications, complex transactions, temporary imports, and repair or return shipments.
- Partner with Transportation, Warehouse Operations, Engineering, Product Management, Finance, Procurement, and international teams to identify risks and improve customs clearance processes.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
QualificationsWhat You'll Bring- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, International Business, Logistics, Audit, or a related field.
- Minimum of five years of global trade compliance experience involving the United States and international markets.
- Expertise in HTS classification, customs valuation, country-of-origin rules, duties and tariffs, partner government agency requirements, bonded movements, and free trade agreements.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, including PivotTables, XLOOKUP, and VLOOKUP.
- Demonstrated success developing policies, standard operating procedures, internal controls, and sustainable process improvements.
- Skilled presentation and communication capabilities, including experience presenting findings, trends, risks, and recommendations to management.
- Analytical ability to investigate transactions, determine root causes, develop practical recommendations, and independently drive resolution.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English is required

At Brightstar, we consider a wide range of factors in determining compensation, including background, skills, experience, and work location. These factors can cause your compensation to vary. The estimated starting compensation range is $74,961 - $164,800. The actual pay offered may end up being higher or lower. The Company will comply with all local pay requirements and collective bargaining agreements, where applicable.
Base pay is only one part of our Total Rewards program. Sales roles may be eligible for commission payments, while other roles are eligible for discretionary bonuses.
