Full Job Description
As part of our Engineering & Maintenance group and reporting to the Senior Infrastructure Manager, Infrastructure Maintenance, the Track Infrastructure Manager is responsible for leading and overseeing a group of Track Maintainers & Track Foreman in the execution of light rail track maintenance. This is a full-time permanent management opportunity based in Waterloo, Ontario. Key Responsibilities and Functions Leadership - Be a leader and promote Keolis's work quality programs, safety culture and compliance to standards and policies. - Take ownership of the track and territory that is assigned to you and be an ambassador of Keolis when interacting with customers, suppliers, and employees. - Provide guidance and support to the maintenance forces assigned to your territory. - Report and escalate all accidents/incidents and participate in the incident investigation and review processes. - Act as a role model when it comes to safety, quality of work and efficiency of operations. Employee Oversight & Maintenance Coordination - Direct, coordinate and support the work of the Track Maintenance Team, under the direction of the Senior Manager, Infrastructure Maintenance. - Mentor and train your Track Maintenance Team. - Perform annual employee reviews. - Plan and schedule all preventative and corrective maintenance tasks throughout the year. - Create, review and approve all Service Requests and Work Orders in order to meet required timelines for tasks. - Maintain the departments annual operations within budget and forecast expenditures. - Ensure work performed by the Track Maintenance Team, under your direction, is in accordance with the Project requirements and all applicable standards. - Perform reporting duties as per the Maintenance Plan and Region of Waterloo requirements. - Act as a leader in terms of safety, providing guidance and information on safety practices, procedures or policies. - Perform Safety Audits and follow-up on non-compliances and corrective actions. Participate in accident investigations and disciplinary measures if and when required. - Provide technical support to the Track Maintenance Team. - On-call coverage for emergencies. - Attend and take part in all required meetings with clients and stakeholders. - Valid "G" driver's license or higher with clean Drivers Abstract. - Shifts may include afternoons, nights, weekends, and holiday. Qualification and Experience - Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical, Electronic, Civil), Transportation, or a related field. - 3 - 4 years (standard) to 15+ years (senior/complex) of experience in the rail, transportation, or infrastructure sectors. - Proven experience in leading multidisciplinary teams, contract management, and project scheduling. - Proficiency in MS Project or Primavera P6 is crucial for scheduling; SAP experience is often required for financial tracking. - PMP (Project Management Professional) or CPM (Certified Commercial Project Manager) is strongly preferred. -
