Here's What You'll Do: - Serve as a hands-on analyst supporting the Total Rewards portfolio: compensation, benefits, equity, and rewards programs, often juggling several workstreams in the same week.
- Support the annual compensation cycle: build merit, bonus, and equity models, prepare manager materials, and validate data before and after changes load, with review from the Senior Manager, Total Rewards.
- Assist with market pricing and job leveling using survey data, and help maintain job architecture, salary ranges, and band placement as roles evolve.
- Prepare analysis for offers, promotions, and internal equity requests, giving the Senior Manager, People Partners, and Talent Acquisition clear, data-backed recommendations for review.
- Partner with the Senior Manager, Total Rewards on benefits administration, including open enrollment, vendor and carrier coordination, eligibility, billing reconciliation, and employee questions.
- Maintain compensation and benefits data integrity in HRIS (Rippling), including plan setup, comp changes, and audits that keep records accurate and compliant.
- Partner with Payroll on accuracy for every cycle: audit comp, bonus, and equity-related changes before each run, and reconcile benefit deductions and employer contributions against carrier invoices.
- Keep Rippling and the payroll system in sync for new hires, terminations, comp changes, and off-cycle or one-time payments, resolving discrepancies and employee pay questions quickly.
- Build and refine reports, dashboards, and analyses (pay equity, compa-ratios, bonus and equity utilization, benefits cost and participation) that help leaders make informed decisions.
- Support core compliance work, including pay transparency, ACA, ERISA and 5500 filings, leave and wage-and-hour requirements, and state-specific rules across our multi-state workforce, partnering with the Senior Manager and outside advisors.
- Coordinate compensation survey participation and submissions, and work with equity administration and payroll partners on grants, vesting, and exercises.
- Help plan and deliver total rewards communications, such as program guides and manager toolkits, so employees understand the full value of their package.
- Help build and refine repeatable processes and playbooks, turning ad hoc practices into scalable ones as the company matures.
- Partner with Talent Acquisition, HRBPs, Finance, and Payroll to ensure a consistent, equitable rewards experience across functions.
- Jump into whatever's needed. This role is built for someone who enjoys variety and isn't afraid to figure things out.
What You Bring to the Table: - 2-3 years of progressive experience in total rewards, compensation, benefits, or HR analytics, ideally in a growth-stage or technology environment.
- Strong analytical skills: advanced Excel or Google Sheets (lookups, pivots, modeling); experience with HR analytics or BI tools is a plus.
- Hands-on HRIS experience required; Rippling experience strongly preferred.
- Familiarity with payroll processes and multi-state payroll considerations (deductions, withholding, off-cycle payments), and comfort reconciling payroll and benefits data.
- Familiarity with compensation practices (market pricing, job leveling, salary structures, merit and bonus cycles) and exposure to equity compensation.
- Familiarity with benefits administration and relevant regulations (ACA, ERISA, pay transparency, multi-state requirements).
- A roll-up-your-sleeves mindset and eagerness to learn, comfortable in a small team where processes are still being built.
- Sound judgment and discretion when handling confidential compensation and employee data.
- Strong process orientation, comfortable following established processes and suggesting improvements.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex pay and benefits concepts clearly and build trust across all levels of the organization.
- Fluent with AI tools and comfortable using them to move faster on analysis, reporting, and administrative work, with the judgment to know what still needs a human.
- Bachelor's degree in HR, Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Nice to have: interest in pursuing CCP, CEBS, or similar certification, and experience in financial services or wealthtech.
