About the role
As a Test Lead - P&C Insurance (Duck Creek/Guidewire), you will make an impact by leading end-to-end testing for underwriting platforms such as Duck Creek, Guidewire, or similar systems. You will be a valued member of the Insurance Technology Delivery team and work collaboratively with client stakeholders and offshore teams to ensure high-quality delivery.

In this role, you will:
• Own and drive testing for Duck Creek, Guidewire, or other P&C underwriting applications.
• Lead and mentor teams across onsite and offshore locations.
• Manage all phases of the Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC), including planning, execution, and reporting.
• Define and implement test automation strategies and frameworks.
• Act as the primary point of contact for testing-related activities and stakeholder communication.

Based on this role's business requirements, this is a hybrid position requiring 4 days per week in a client office in Charlotte, NC. What you need to have to be considered
Over 10+ years of experience in software testing, including 8+ years specializing in testing for Property & Casualty (P&C) Insurance Underwriting systems.
Strong understanding of General Insurance domain with Property & Casualty and Workers Compensation.
Hands-on experience with Duck Creek, Guidewire, or similar platforms (Policy, Billing, Claims modules preferred).
• Strong knowledge of test planning, estimation, test execution, defect lifecycle management, and quality governance.
• Experience developing QA metrics, dashboards, executive reporting, and root cause analysis reports.
Test automation background Java, Selenium and CI/CD integration.
• Hands on experience on test management tools like Rally, ALM and Jira
• Proven ability to lead teams in onsite-offshore delivery models.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
