Job DescriptionWhat You'll Do- Design, develop, integrate, and maintain automated test equipment that supports the production of complex defense systems.
- Develop and maintain automated test software using LabVIEW and related tools.
- Develop and maintain test frameworks and automation using Java.
- Review test specifications to ensure requirements are complete, accurate, and aligned with production and system needs.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues involving test equipment, software, hardware interfaces, and test methodologies.
- Analyze test data and production yields to identify trends, determine root causes of failures, and drive corrective actions.
- Recommend and implement improvements to test equipment and processes.
- Partner with design, development, manufacturing, and tooling teams throughout the product lifecycle to ensure products are testable and manufacturable.
- Participate in product design reviews and provide engineering input related to Design for Test (DFT) and Design for Manufacturing (DFM).
- Ensure test processes and equipment comply with applicable industry standards, military specifications, and quality requirements.
Required Experience:- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
- 3+ years of experience in a test engineering role, preferably supporting defense, aerospace, or another highly regulated industry.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across multiple engineering and tooling disciplines.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance, which requires U.S. Citizenship.
Preferred Skills:- Experience developing and maintaining automated test systems using National Instruments LabVIEW.
- Strong programming experience in Java, particularly for test scripts, frameworks, or automation.
- Experience with test and measurement equipment such as oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, power supplies, and data acquisition systems.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics, test specifications, and system requirements.
- Experience supporting products in a high-volume production environment.
- Experience using statistical or data-analysis tools to identify trends, evaluate production performance, and visualize test results.
