What will be your responsibilities within IBKR: As a Software Development Engineer in Test and help protect market integrity at massive scale. You'll build and maintain the automated testing infrastructure that ensures reliability across systems processing 1+ billion order events daily-work that directly impacts the fairness and security of financial markets.
- Build scalable testing frameworks that enable our team to deploy confidently and maintain high system reliability
- Design comprehensive test suites covering unit, integration, and acceptance testing that catch issues before they reach production
- Collaborate with engineers and data scientists to embed quality practices throughout the development lifecycle
- Provide metrics and reporting on test coverage, quality trends, and system reliability
- Build and maintain monitoring and alerting systems for test infrastructure
- Develop data quality checks to ensure integrity across pipelines and databases
- Investigate and triage test failures, working with development teams to identify root causes and implement fixes
What required skill's you need:- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, or related quantitative field
- 3+ years of software engineering experience with strong coding skills (Python required)
- Strong experience with unit testing frameworks (pytest, unittest, etc.)
- Strong communication skills with meticulous attention to detail
- Experience with version control systems (git)

- Solid foundation in testing methodologies and quality assurance principles
- Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities
- Self-motivated with ability to drive projects independently
Preferred Qualifications- Experience with data quality/lineage platforms (Manta/Ataccama)\
- Background in performance/load testing tools
- API and contract testing experience
- Experience with data engineering concepts and tools
- Experience with monitoring/observability tools

The anticipated base salary range for this role is $140,000 to $160,000 per year, based on skills, experience, and location. The offered salary is just part of the total compensation package.
