Description

The School of Social Work invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track Assistant Professor whose research advances the mental health and well-being of children, youth, and families. We are especially interested in interdisciplinary scholars whose work examines howinterventions using emerging technologies, artificial intelligence, digital innovation, or other novel approaches address significant mental health challenges among children, youth, and families.

We seek candidates whose scholarship and research are grounded in or have implications for social work practice, policy, or education. An interest in engaging with social work scholars, practitioners, or social service systems is essential. Candidates may bring expertise in social work, human-computer interaction, or both.

The expected 9-month base salary range (paid over 12 months) for this position is $135,000- $145,000. The final offer amount to the selected candidate will be determined based on factors such as, but not limited to, candidate qualifications and prior experience, scope of responsibilities, internal equity, and market considerations.

Qualifications

The successful candidate will bring interdisciplinary perspectives and experience, such as human-centered design and community-engaged scholarship, and will teach and mentor undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral students. Candidates should hold a Ph.D. or equivalent terminal degree at the time of appointment and demonstrate strong potential for excellence in research and teaching.
