Ready to Take the Next Step in Your Nursing Career?

Clearpoint Health Network is seeking a Temporary Nurse Manager to provide clinical and operational leadership at our New Westminster Surgical Centre.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced perioperative nurse who is ready to explore leadership - even if you have never held a formal Nurse Manager position.

If you naturally step up, support your colleagues, solve problems, take initiative and are ready to take greater accountability, this could be the leadership opportunity you've been waiting for.

The assignment is temporary, with potential for extension based on operational requirements. The end date is not currently fixed.

What You'll Do

  • Provide day-to-day clinical and operational leadership for the centre.
  • Lead, coach and support nursing and clinical staff.
  • Oversee staffing, scheduling, performance and day-to-day operational needs.
  • Address clinical, patient-care and operational concerns.
  • Work collaboratively with physicians, staff and other healthcare professionals.
  • Support patient safety, quality improvement, infection prevention and accreditation requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable BC regulatory and professional standards.
  • Support recruitment, onboarding and staff development.
  • Identify opportunities to improve patient flow, efficiency and centre operations.
  • Liaise with health authorities and other stakeholders as required.

What We're Looking For

  • Current RN registration in British Columbia and in good standing.
  • Experience in an OR, perioperative, ambulatory surgical or comparable clinical environment.
  • Strong clinical judgment and the ability to make decisions and take accountability.
  • Excellent communication, organization and problem-solving skills.
  • A collaborative approach to working with physicians, nurses and other healthcare professionals.
  • A genuine interest in leading people and clinical operations.

Formal Nurse Manager experience is an asset, but not required.

We encourage nurses who have demonstrated leadership through roles such as Charge Nurse, Clinical Resource, preceptor, mentor, project lead or quality improvement initiatives to apply.

Why This Opportunity?

This assignment is a chance to build valuable leadership experience, develop your management skills and discover whether clinical leadership is the right next step for you - while making a direct impact on patient care, staff experience and centre operations.

You don't have to check every box. If you're ready to lead, we want to hear from you.
