Description We are seeking an experienced grants management professional to provide temporary support to the Foundation's grantmaking operations. Reporting to the Director of Grants Management, the Temporary Grants Manager will provide hands-on support across the grant lifecycle and work closely with Grantmaking and Capacity Building, Finance, and other staff to ensure grants are processed accurately, efficiently, and on schedule.
This temporary position is expected to last approximately 4-6 months, beginning in October 2026, at approximately 35-40 hours per week. The role may be shortened or extended based on organizational needs. The Foundation anticipates conducting a search for a permanent Grants Manager, and the individual selected for this temporary role will be eligible to apply.
Key Responsibilities - Manage day-to-day grant administration from application through award, payment, reporting, and closeout.
- Process grant invitations and applications; conduct administrative due diligence; prepare grant agreements and banking requests; and coordinate grant payments with Finance.
- Maintain accurate and complete grant, organization, payment, and documentation records in Blackbaud Grantmaking(BBGM).
- Provide timely support to applicants, grantee partners, and internal staff regarding grant processes, grants portal, and grants management systems.
- Support grants data cleanup, reconciliation, reporting, dashboards, and other data integrity projects.
- Identify and help resolve grants management data, system, and workflow issues.
- Review grants management processes and documentation, identify gaps and inefficiencies, and recommend practical improvements to strengthen workflows and procedures.
- Provide additional grants management support as priorities arise.
Position Requirements ? At least five years of grants management experience, preferably within a foundation.
? Demonstrated experience managing grants across the full grant lifecycle.
? Strong grants database management skills, including system configuration, custom fields, forms, and workflows;
Blackbaud Grantmaking (BBGM) and Blueprint experience strongly preferred.
? Knowledge of grants compliance, due diligence, and IRS requirements applicable to public foundations; experience
with 501(c)(4) grantmaking is a plus.
? Exceptional attention to detail and strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
? Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and collaborate effectively across teams.
? Strong written and verbal communication skills and experience supporting applicants and grantee partners.

Location & ScheduleOur office is located in Brooklyn, NY. Position is open to remote candidates residing in the United States. The Temporary
Grants Manager must be available to work primarily during Eastern Time business hours to support close collaboration
with the Director of Grants Management and other staff.
Compensation Annual Salary : 90,000 - 100,000
