The department of athletic training seeks an experienced temporary athletic trainer. The temporary trainer will work 40 hours per week, from August 1, 2026, through October 31, 2026. Under the supervision of the team physicians and the associate athletic director of sports medicine, the trainer assists in the supervision and coordination of LVC's sports medicine program in injury prevention, evaluation, management and treatment of athletic injuries, short- and long-term rehabilitation of athletic injuries, and the education and counseling of student-athletes regarding injuries and prevention. Preferred qualifications include a bachelor's degree in area of specialization and 4 years of professional experience, or a Master degree and 2 years of professional experience, as well as certification by the Board of Certification (BOC). State athletic training licensure, familiarity with NCAA governing rules, CPR-First Aid certification, and strength and conditioning experience is also preferred. The availability for significant travel, evening or weekend hours as necessary, the ability to lift up to 40 pounds on a regular basis (or with assistance), and a valid PA driver's license are required.
