Role Overview:The
Telecom OSS Reinvention Senior Manager helps communications service providers (CSPs)
reinvent network and service operations toward increasingly autonomous operations. The role combines deep telecom and OSS architecture expertise with AI, automation, data, and consulting leadership to modernize OSS environments and enable intelligent, closed-loop network operations.
Working across strategy, architecture, and implementation, this role helps clients define their autonomous network vision, modernize legacy OSS platforms, apply AI to network operations, and establish the foundations required to achieve
higher levels of network autonomy.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead OSS reinvention and solution architecture across service and resource inventory, fulfillment and provisioning, network and service assurance, fault and performance management, planning and optimization, and network automation.
- Define target architectures, autonomous network strategies, maturity assessments, business cases, and roadmaps aligned with network and business priorities.
- Architect capabilities including zero-touch provisioning, closed-loop assurance, self-healing operations, intelligent orchestration, and AI-driven NOC workflows.
- Shape and guide implementation of AI/ML, GenAI, and agentic AI use cases including predictive maintenance, intelligent fault detection and triage, root-cause analysis, capacity optimization, and automated remediation.
- Apply TM Forum Open Digital Architecture (ODA) and Autonomous Networks frameworks to modernize legacy OSS environments toward modular, cloud-native, API-driven architectures.
- Evaluate OSS platforms and network management systems and define the data, integration, observability, orchestration, and AI capabilities required for autonomous operations.
- Provide technical leadership through implementation, addressing complex architecture, integration, API, data, and interoperability challenges.
- Advise senior network, operations, architecture, and technology leaders on OSS modernization, AI, automation, and autonomous network strategies.
- Lead client engagements and multidisciplinary teams spanning OSS, network, cloud, data, AI, automation, and architecture, while developing technical talent.
- Drive business development, solution shaping, proposals, and development of OSS and autonomous network offerings and assets.
- Travel as needed, up to 80%.
Here's What You Need:- Minimum of 10 years of telecommunications industry and/or technology consulting experience, with strong technical depth in OSS architecture, engineering, network operations, or implementation.
- A Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Telecommunications, Information Technology, or a related field. An advanced degree is preferred.
- Deep expertise across multiple OSS domains (e.g., service and resource inventory, fulfillment and provisioning, network and service assurance, fault and performance management, planning and optimization, network automation).
- Hands-on architecture or implementation experience with leading OSS or network management platforms such as Amdocs, Netcracker, ServiceNow Telecom, Ericsson, Nokia, or equivalent.
- Strong understanding of AI/ML, GenAI, agentic AI, orchestration, analytics, and closed-loop automation within network operations.
- Deep working knowledge of TM Forum Open Digital Architecture (ODA) and Autonomous Networks (AN) maturity frameworks.
- Strong understanding of modern network architectures including 5G, fiber, cloud-native networks, SDN/NFV, network APIs, and edge computing.
- Demonstrated experience defining target architectures, technology strategies, modernization roadmaps, and implementation approaches.
- Experience leading complex client engagements, multidisciplinary teams, and discussions with senior network and technology executives.
- Strong technical problem-solving, executive communication, solution-shaping, and stakeholder-management skills.
- Experience with business development, proposals, and client relationship development.
Bonus Points If You Have:- Experience with SON, closed-loop automation, self-healing networks, AI-driven network optimization, Cloud RAN, or zero-touch provisioning.
- Experience integrating agentic AI or LLM-based capabilities into OSS and network operations.
- TM Forum certifications in ODA, Autonomous Networks, or related areas.
- Programming or scripting experience with Python or similar technologies for automation, data, or AI integration.
- Participation in TM Forum Catalyst projects or industry working groups is beneficial.
What Success Looks Like:Help CSPs progress from reactive, manually intensive network operations toward predictive, closed-loop, and increasingly autonomous operations.
Success means establishing the OSS, data, AI, orchestration, and automation capabilities needed to improve network and service quality, increase resilience and automation, accelerate service delivery, reduce resolution times, and lower operational cost and complexity-while creating a pragmatic path toward higher levels of network autonomy.
