Full Job Description
How to Apply

Please only apply to one open position. If you aren't a fit for it, we'll consider you for other positions automatically.

To be considered, submit your resume along with a cover letter that answers the following questions:
  1. What drew you to Starfish Storage, and what about our mission resonates with you? Have you worked with related technologies in the past?
  2. Describe a sales win (in the $50k-$500k+ range) that you thought you were going to lose, why, and how you ended up winning.
  3. Please describe the technologies you have sold in the past.
  4. Have you ever worked in a small sales organization? If so, when, what were you selling, how small was it, etc?

We appreciate genuine, thoughtful cover letters. We have humans read your resume and cover letter. We are looking for you to put your best foot forward when applying. (Hint: we automatically reject applicants who only submit resumes.)

  • Sell Starfish in the US (and selectively abroad)
  • Understand the storage lifecycle-acquisition, computation, migration, archiving, compliance, and more-and match our solutions to client challenges
  • Build compelling value propositions based on client-specific data and close business.
  • Establish and deepen relationships with direct clients, channels, and alliances.
  • Keep your colleagues in the loop (CRM diligence is a must).

What You Bring
  • 5+ years closing $70k-$500k+ enterprise technology product transactions to CXO, technical, scientific, or IT buyers
  • Experience growing accounts, writing technical proposals, and presenting to executive and technical audiences.
  • A track record of hitting (and exceeding) quotas.
  • Communication that wows-whether written, spoken, or over video calls.
  • Critical thinking, strategic hustle, and project management skills.
  • Bilingual in "business" and "tech" speak.
  • University degree (advanced degree preferred).
  • U.S. work authorization.
  • Background check required.

Bonus points for:
  • Mastery of data protection/migration/archive solutions.
