Position Highlights:

Hours: Monday-Friday with rotating weekends.
Example of shifts below:
  • Day shifts: 7:00am-3:30pm, 8:00am-4:30pm, 8:30am-5:00pm
  • Evening shifts: 11:30am-8:00pm, 12:30pm-9:00pm
  • Weekend shifts/Holidays: 8:00am-4:00pm
  • Schedules are typically provided 4-6 weeks in advance

Responsibilities:
  • Sonographic procedures according to department standards in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Provides patient education in the form of written material and/or verbal explanation prior to, during and subsequent to the procedure in order to reduce the patient's anxiety and enhance his/her comfort zone with respect to tolerance of the procedures
  • Produces examinations that meet image quality standards in accordance with department protocols.
  • Submits images for physician interpretation.
  • Verifies accuracy of: patient demographic information, pertinent clinical diagnosis, and required technical results. Data must be entered accurately and in a timely fashion to provide optimal patient care.
  • Verifies all technical data entry components are complete prior to the end of shift.
  • Monitors stock supplies in imagining rooms to assure their regular availability by timely reordering, rotation of dated items, and by maintenance of a clean and orderly environment.
  • Reports incidences of equipment failure.
  • Actively supports organizational changes.
  • Adheres to institutional safety procedures as described in the institutional safety program.
  • Actively participates in a multidisciplinary approach to patient care. Works closely with nurses and physicians to achieve positive outcomes and optimal patient flow.
  • Performs job functions while modeling service principles with customer service focus of innovation, service excellence and teamwork to provide the highest quality care and service to our patients, families, co-workers and others.

The compensation for this role includes a base pay range of $35.00-$52.00, with the actual pay determined by factors such as skills, experience, education, certifications, geographic location, and internal equity. Additional compensation may be available through shift differentials, bonuses, and other incentives. Base pay is only a portion of the total rewards package.
