What you'll do...
Role summary:
The (USA) Technician, Facility Services, HVAC-Refrigeration, is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing HVAC and refrigeration systems in commercial and industrial settings. This role involves interpreting technical schematics, diagnosing mechanical and electrical issues, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. The Technician performs preventive maintenance, manages refrigerant handling, and leads field teams while supporting operational efficiency. Effective communication with customers and collaboration with management are essential. The position requires adherence to safety protocols and participation in on-call rotations to address critical service needs promptly.
What you'll do:
  • Install, configure, and calibrate HVAC and refrigeration systems, including ductwork and control panels, ensuring compliance with building codes.
  • Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, and refrigerant-related issues in commercial and industrial equipment.
  • Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on refrigeration units, walk-ins, and HVAC systems to minimize downtime.
  • Conduct inspections and maintain compliance with federal, state, and local HVAC/R regulations and safety standards.
  • Lead and mentor field teams, providing technical guidance and promoting safety practices.
  • Manage service calls, documentation, and coordinate with external providers as needed.
  • Operate company vehicles safely to complete service assignments within assigned regions.

What you'll bring:
  • Proven experience installing, maintaining, and repairing HVAC and refrigeration systems in commercial or industrial settings.
  • Ability to interpret layout plans, schematics, and building codes to ensure accurate system configuration and compliance.
  • Skilled in diagnosing mechanical, electrical, and refrigerant-related issues and implementing effective solutions.
  • Knowledge of OSHA standards and EPA 608 refrigerant handling protocols.
  • Experience leading teams and mentoring technicians on technical procedures and safety practices.
  • Strong communication skills to explain technical issues and coordinate with customers and service providers.
  • Capability to manage service calls, schedules, and inventory using digital tools.

The hourly wage range for this position is $29.00 - $58.00*

*The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location.

Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.








Minimum Qualifications...

Option 1: Vocational or technical HVAC/R certification and 2 years' experience in mechanical maintenance or construction-related field for commercial HVAC/R and building controls.
Option 2: 4 years' experience in mechanical maintenance or construction-related field for commercial HVAC/R and building controls or related field.
Hold and maintains Type I and Type II or Universal Environmental Protection Agency certification for refrigerant handling.
Where required, HVAC-R/ Mechanical Journeyman.
Valid state-issued driver's license and ability to pass motor vehicle report.• Commercial driving record with no convictions for DUI, DWI, OUI within the last five (5) years.
Commercial driving record with no more than two (2) moving violations in the last three (3) years.
No preventable accidents while operating a commercial motor vehicle in the last three (3) years.
No serious traffic violations, as defined by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations, while operating a commercial motor vehicle in the last three (3) years.
