What you'll do...
Role summary:
The (USA) Technician, Facility Services, HVAC-Refrigeration, is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing HVAC and refrigeration systems in commercial and industrial settings. This role involves interpreting technical schematics, diagnosing mechanical and electrical issues, and ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations. The Technician supports preventive maintenance programs, leads field teams, and communicates effectively with customers and management. Operating company vehicles and participating in on-call rotations are essential. This position requires adherence to established policies and standards while contributing to continuous improvement and operational excellence within assigned facilities.
What you'll do:
  • Install, configure, and calibrate HVAC and refrigeration systems, including ductwork, control panels, and building pneumatics.
  • Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, and refrigerant-related issues in commercial and industrial equipment.
  • Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on refrigeration units, walk-ins, and HVAC systems to ensure optimal operation.
  • Conduct inspections and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local HVAC/R regulations and safety standards.
  • Lead and mentor field teams, providing technical guidance and promoting safety practices.
  • Manage service calls, coordinate with vendors, and maintain accurate documentation and inventory records.
  • Operate company vehicles safely to complete service assignments within assigned regions.

What you'll bring:
  • Proven experience installing, maintaining, and repairing HVAC and refrigeration systems in commercial or industrial settings.
  • Ability to interpret layout plans, schematics, and building codes to ensure accurate system configuration and compliance.
  • Skilled in diagnosing mechanical, electrical, and refrigerant-related issues and implementing effective solutions.
  • Knowledge of OSHA standards and EPA 608 refrigerant handling protocols.
  • Competence in preventive maintenance programs to maximize equipment reliability and minimize downtime.
  • Strong communication skills to explain technical information clearly to customers and team members.
  • Capability to lead and mentor technicians while collaborating with management and external partners.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to operate company vehicles safely for service calls.

The hourly wage range for this position is $29.00 - $58.00*

*The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location.

Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.








Minimum Qualifications...

Hold and maintains Type I and Type II or Universal Environmental Protection Agency certification for refrigerant handling.
Where required, HVAC-R/ Mechanical Journeyman.
Valid state-issued driver's license and ability to pass motor vehicle report.• Commercial driving record with no convictions for DUI, DWI, OUI within the last five (5) years.
Commercial driving record with no more than two (2) moving violations in the last three (3) years.
No preventable accidents while operating a commercial motor vehicle in the last three (3) years.
No serious traffic violations, as defined by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations, while operating a commercial motor vehicle in the last three (3) years.
