Technical Writer
Location: Alexandria, VA
Clearance: TS/SCI
The Decision Advantage Business Area within the Defense sector has an opening for a cleared Technical Writer for its Alexandria, VA location.
This is an exciting opportunity to bring your experience to support an exciting new Air Force program space elements in multi-domain environments. In this role you will support a top modernization priority for the Department of the Air Force. This position will work closely with Program Managers, domain engineers, and Government counterparts across Government and Industry partners.
The Technical Writer must be local, willing and able to work onsite in Alexandria, VA even though the position offers a hybrid setting.
No relocation is available for the position.
Primary responsibilities:
- Plan, coordinate, revise, and edit written material including technical and non-technical documents
- Work with the engineering team to ensure that CDRLs/deliverables meet SOW and Government requirements
Required Qualifications:
- 12+ years’ experience as a technical writer. Additional years of experience will be considered in lieu of degree.
- Active and current TS/SCI clearance.
- Fluency in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint.
- Ability to pay attention to details.
- Skilled writer with the ability to communicate complex information clearly, concisely, and accurately.
- Experience conducting research to gather information and ensure accuracy of documentation.
- Knowledgeable of developing DoD CDRLs following Government DIDs.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Must be able to attain SAP clearance.
Additional Qualifications/Certifications
- Experience with Jira and Confluence.
- Experience with Adobe products.
- Ability to adapt to different writing styles and formats.
- Exceptional analytical and conceptual thinking skills.
- Ability to multi-task and be a self-starter.
- SAP experience preferred.

Pay Range:Pay Range $105,300.00 - $190,350.00
