Job Description

Your effort and expertise are crucial to the success and execution of this impactful mission. This opportunity supports an Enterprise IT contract with a team of SIGDEV Analysts, Systems Engineers, Junior Engineers, Telecommunication Technical Analysts and System Administrators, responsible for the architecture, engineering, integration, operations, maintenance and sustainment of multi-level Enterprise IT environment.

Job Description:
  • We are looking for a Technical Writer who will be responsible for the preparation, review, revision, and maintenance of technical documents including software and systems engineering, system operations, testing, and user documentation. You will write and edit technical documentation for all of the project's hardware and software to include installation, configuration, and how-to documentation. You will also:
    • Create code documentation for software, produce implementation guides and end-user guides for capabilities, provide field, data definition, and data flow documentation, and format technical publications from pamphlets, technical drawings, and consultations with technical personnel and other available resources.
    • This project provides, but is not limited to, High-Capacity Sensor Operations (HCSO) Integrated Operations Center (HIOC) documentation support, process and system documentation support, configuration management support, process support, and training support, to include HCSO business process training and foreign partner system training courses.
    • You must be a "power user" in the following applications: Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and SharePoint as well as Atlassian Jira and Confluence.

The Technical Writer 2 shall possess the following capabilities:
  • Prepare, review, revise, and maintain technical documents including software and systems engineering, system operations, testing, and user documentation.
  • Write and edit technical documentation for all of the project's hardware and software to include installation, configuration, and how-to documentation.
  • Create code documentation for software, produce implementation guides and end-user guides for capabilities, provide field, data definition, and data flow documentation, and format technical publications from pamphlets, technical drawings, and consult with technical personnel and other available resources.

Qualifications:
  • Six (6) years' experience as a Technical Writer in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, complexity is required.
  • A bachelor's degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university is required.
  • Four additional years of TW experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.

Position requires active Security Clearance with appropriate Polygraph

Pay Range: 115,000-155,000
