Thomson Reuters’ ONE PS Training Team is seeking an energetic Technical Trainer to join our dynamic global team. In this role, you will deliver expert training to customers and partners, helping them make the most of Direct Tax Compliance solutions. Your work will directly support customer success and contribute to innovative, high-impact learning experiences.

You will collaborate with Curriculum Designers and Professional Services Consultants to deliver a comprehensive training program. Beyond facilitating engaging sessions, you will help create and maintain high-quality training content across multiple formats, including instructor-led workshops, on-demand and eLearning courses, videos, and certification exams. These materials will stay aligned with the latest product capabilities and support effective learner outcomes.

About the Role

In the role of aTechnical Trainer, you will:

  • Lead product training focused on Direct Tax Compliance, expanding to related solutions as business and customer needs evolve.

  • Deliver virtual multi-client workshops and dedicated client sessions; provide onsite training when needed.

  • Partner with Curriculum Designers, Professional Services Implementers, and SMEs to identify training needs and effective delivery methods.

  • Review and synthesize input from colleagues and external experts to co-create training that is effective and supports effective product usage

  • Stay current on tax technology, compliance practices, and market trends to keep content accurate and relevant.

  • Update training assets for product releases as needed across formats, including workshops, webinars, office hours, eLearning, videos, exams, and toolkits.

  • Maintain instructor and participant guides for accuracy, clarity, and accessibility.

  • Analyze learner feedback and training metrics to improve programs and close curriculum gaps.

  • Build and maintain product expertise across Direct Tax Compliance and the broader Direct Tax portfolio.

  • Use Thomson Reuters generative AI tools to accelerate work, improve deliverables, and adopt emerging AI best practices.

  • Record time and engagement details for accurate billing and utilization reporting; submit time and expense reports promptly.

  • Support training operations with timely attendance reports and other operational tasks as needed.

  • Work in-office at least three days per week as part of a hybrid schedule.

About You

You are a fit for the role of Technical Trainer if you have:

  • A bachelor’s degree in accounting, tax, finance, business, education, or a related field.

  • At least four years of experience in Direct Tax, tax technology, tax compliance, or customer-facing product training.

  • Experience with tax technology or compliance platforms, including experience with ONESOURCE Direct Tax Compliance solutions strongly preferred

  • Experience delivering live and virtual training for groups of approximately 10 to 50+ participants.

  • Ability to design and facilitate hands-on learning activities that drive adoption.

  • Agility to manage technical issues, varied learner skill levels, and product changes while maintaining a positive learning experience.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly.

  • A customer-centric mindset focused on measurable training impact.

  • Ability to build alignment across a complex, matrixed organization.

  • Experience leading cross-functional projects and delivering results on time.

  • Strong collaboration skills and the ability to work independently.

  • Strong technical skills with generative and agentic AI, adaptability to emerging technologies, and curiosity about the evolving intersection of AI and tax technology.

  • Willingness to travel for onsite training as needed.

Thomson Reuters complies with local laws that require upfront disclosure of the expected pay range for a position. The base compensation range varies across locations. For any eligible US locations, unless otherwise noted, the base compensation range for this role is $74,200 USD - $137,800 USD. Base pay is positioned within the range based on several factors including an individual’s knowledge, skills and experience with consideration given to internal equity. Base pay is one part of a comprehensive Total Reward program which also includes flexible and supportive benefits and other wellbeing programs. This role may also be eligible for an Annual Bonus based on a combination of enterprise and individual performance.
