Job Description:.We are looking for a motivated and curious Technical
Project Manager who wants to grow their career by taking on meaningful responsibility across technology-focused client engagements. As part of Parsons X, you will manage projects, bring together clients, Parsons teams, partners, and subcontractors, and help deliver emerging solutions that solve real client problems. This role offers a unique combination of hands-on project leadership, client interaction, technology exposure, and visibility into the broader business.
Approximately 70% of the role will focus on project delivery, with an initial emphasis on Asset Guardian and other technology and emerging-solution engagements. The remaining time will support Parsons X business operations and strategic priorities, providing direct exposure to leadership, client strategy, proposals and pursuits, and other growth initiatives. This is an ideal opportunity for someone with strong project management fundamentals, initiative, and the drive to take on increasing responsibility.
Key Responsibilities Project Delivery and Client Management - Manage technology projects from initiation through completion, including scope, schedule, budget, risk, deliverables, and financial performance.
- Lead project and client meetings, driving decisions, action items, accountability, and follow-through.
- Bring together clients, Parsons teams, partners, and subcontractors to create an aligned, collaborative project team.
- Maintain concise project plans, dashboards, forecasts, and status reporting that clearly communicate project health and outcomes.
- Build trusted client relationships, understand client needs, and identify opportunities where Parsons can provide additional value.
Emerging Solutions and Technology Delivery - Manage Asset Guardian pilots and implementations, as well as other Parsons X technology and emerging-solution engagements.
- Develop enough technical and solution knowledge to communicate confidently with clients, technical teams, and partners.
- Support client onboarding, training, demonstrations, and implementation activities.
- Help establish repeatable project management practices that can scale as emerging solutions grow.
Business Operations and Leadership Support - Coordinate Parsons X quarterly briefings, leadership activities, and management reporting.
- Support the development of proposals, client deliverables, sales presentations, and executive-level materials.
- Help coordinate special initiatives and business priorities across the Parsons X leadership team.
What Will Make You Successful You take ownership. You see what needs to happen, take initiative, follow through, and surface risks early.
You are a collaborative project leader. You align people across organizational boundaries, clarify expectations, and create accountability without relying on formal authority.
You are organized and practical. You use schedules, budgets, forecasts, action items, and dashboards to move work forward, not to create unnecessary process.
You are comfortable with ambiguity and curious about technology. You can learn an emerging solution, ask good questions, and bring structure where the delivery approach is still evolving.
You communicate clearly and succinctly. You run effective meetings and turn complex information into concise updates, dashboards, proposals, and presentations.
You are financially minded and client focused. You understand the business of project delivery, build trusted relationships, and recognize opportunities to solve additional client problems.
You are responsive, dependable, and willing to roll up your sleeves. You remain fully engaged, close loops, and help wherever needed to deliver successful outcomes.
You want to grow. You have the foundation and ambition to develop into an increasingly capable project leader.
What We Are Looking For - Several years of experience supporting or managing technology-focused projects, with readiness for increasing ownership and responsibility.
- Foundational project management skills across scope, schedule, budget, risk, issues, and stakeholder coordination.
- Experience managing project budgets, forecasts, and financial performance.
- Strong organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
- The ability to develop clear, professional, and executive-ready PowerPoint presentations and business materials.
- Confidence working with clients, technical teams, partners, subcontractors, business leaders, and senior leadership.
- A self-starter mindset with demonstrated initiative, responsiveness, and follow-through.
- Experience with intelligent transportation systems, sensors, data platforms, or infrastructure technology is a plus, but is not required.
- Ability and willingness to travel as needed for client engagements, project delivery, training, and presentations.
Working Environment This is a remote, highly visible, and client-facing position. The successful candidate will maintain a professional remote work environment that supports focused work, frequent virtual meetings, and regular interaction with clients, project teams, partners, and senior leadership. The Project Manager should be comfortable working on camera, maintaining a professional presence, and remaining engaged and responsive throughout the workday
